A great deal of my success as a maritime artist is directly related to
collaborations with marine photographers.

I am privileged to work with some of the finest photographers in the world and I am often
 humbled by their ability to catch that perfect moment. When just keeping the salt spray off the lens
is near impossible these guys routinely pull off small miracles.

Introducing Mr.Tim Wright

In 1993 Tim Wright was living on his 34 ft sailing boat in the Caribbean and started to photograph yachts as a means of survival.
Today he still spends most of the year afloat in the Caribbean where he is now considered the leading practitioner of
 marine photography in the region. Over recent years he has become increasingly active at regattas in the UK and the Mediterranean.

Many sailors will instantly recognize his unique style. Where other photographers shoot from larger boats
 Tim works from a tiny 12 foot inflatable which serves double duty as his yacht tender.
 This gives him incredible maneuverability, allowing him to get frighteningly close to the action.

 


Nigel Pert

That's Nigel aboard SV Tuiga shooting David J Arnold and Bernard D'Alessandri at the helm.
Nigel's shot will become a crew portrait and Nigel will find himself in another painting. The time
stamps on our Nikons were seconds apart.

Kathy Mansfield


An Ex-Patriotiated American not found in the Jimmy Buffet song, Kathy is at home in the UK.
I worked with Kathy at the Westward Cup and we even outfitted Peter, Kathy's husband
with a camera and sent him out to the Needles for some land side shots

 
Den Phillips


Pure Energy behind the lens! Den and I collaborated on a painting for Mariquita
and will likely work on more paintings from the Westward Cup
 
 
 
Alison Langley

Alison Langley has earned national recognition for her exquisite nautical photography, capturing the light, beauty and motion of classic yachts around the world.

Alison studied film at New York University, and photography at the Rhode Island School of Design. Opportunity took her to Australia where she learned to sail. Smitten with the lifestyle, for six years, she crewed on yachts and sailed around the world, taking photos all the while. Whether aboard a 130ft Brigantine sailing around Australia, or a Swan 651 through Southeast Asia and the South Pacific, classic wooden boats became her love and her focus. Alison's images and stories from this long adventure were published in magazines such as Cruising World, Yachting, Sail, and Travel & Leisure.

Returning to the States in the early 1992, Alison built upon her experience as both a sailor and photographer, becoming manager of Stock Newport, Inc., a photo stock agency specializing in nautical and marine related images.

Alison now lives in Camden, Maine, with her husband and children, and works as a commercial and fine art photographer, shooting on assignment regularly for both the editorial and commercial boating industry. In the summer she travels the Maine coast extensively onboard her chase boat "Tangent", taking both color and black & white images with her specialty being classic and wooden boats. Her work appears frequently on the covers of national and international sailing magazines. 


 

Cory Silken

Cory Silken Photography provides complete photographic and publishing services to an elite clientele world-wide
. Silken's fine art photographs are broadly exhibited in galleries and museums, and his poster reproductions are carried by international chains such as IKEA.
